Kurt has been teaching private lessons for over 20 years to students of all ages - from elementary school through college. His expertise is in developing students' love for their instrument(s), solidifying fundamentals, developing strong practice skills/routines, musical expression, performance/audition preparation, and ensemble playing.
Kurt and his students look forward to getting together a few times each year to play as a larger brass ensemble. His private lesson students have gone on to major in music, attend summer music festivals, pre-college music programs, as well as regional/state-wide musical competitions.
Kurt is available for in-person lessons as well as virtual lessons over Zoom. He teaches out of his house in North Reading, MA where he lives with his wife and dog.
