Originally from New York, Kurt Ferguson now lives in the Boston area, where he runs a private music studio and performs on euphonium, tenor, alto, and bass trombones. Kurt's career has taken him around the country where he performs as a soloist, chamber musician and with symphony and pit orchestras covering musical styles from the Renaissance to world premiers.
Kurt holds degrees and certificates from the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music (BM '09), Rice University's Shepherd School of Music (MM '12), and The Colburn School Conservatory of Music (PSC '14), where he studied with Mark Kellogg, John Marcellus, Allen Barnhill, and Mark Lawrence. Kurt is available for performances, master classes, sectionals, and private lessons.
When he’s not thinking about music, Kurt enjoys hiking, cycling, and woodworking.
